APEX2016ApplicationForm (due Feb 22, 2016)
It is with great pleasure that we are announcing another Audiovisual Preservation Exchange (APEX) taking place during the weeks of May 23 and May 30 in Santiago, Chile. APEX is a collaboration between NYU’s Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) Program, the AMIA student chapter at NYU, our partners in Chile—the Biblioteca Nacional de Chile (National Library) and Señal Tres la Victoria (community television station). This year marks the fourth APEX organized by NYU students. Last year’s trip to Buenos Aires had students from several graduate programs working alongside one another to great success.
We are seeking students with experience in the archiving or preservation of audiovisual collections who want to work in an international archives setting. These experiences have proven incredibly helpful to both the institutions and the participants.
If you are interested in being part of a team of archivists working alongside colleagues in Chile we invite you to complete the attached application. Applications must be emailed to Jonathan Farbowitz (jmf669[at]nyu.edu) and Caroline Gil (cmg623[at]nyu.edu). Complete applications must be received by February 22.
If you have any questions about the program please feel free to contact Jonathan Farbowitz (jmf669[at]nyu.edu) or Caroline Gil (cmg623[at]nyu.edu).
Thank you for your time and consideration,
The APEX Team
